Reading
I do not like, or trust, any character in this book, and I love that.
Let’s start with Greta, she is a self-sabotaging, emotionally stunted, selfish person. We get it, your mom killed yourself. Like 30 years ago! And you basically told her to do it!!! You are messed up girl, stop bringing other people into your bullshit, Stacy is better off without you.
Big Swiss, Mrs. Holier Than Thou. Woooowwwww it’s so brave to look down on others, it’s so cool to make other fell inferior.
& the coup de grace, Om. There isn’t even a fictional world where this man got a medical degree. The only time I am supporting Big Swiss is when she’s pointing out how unprofessional and moronic Om is.
I loved hating these characters but apart from that, where is this supposed connection between Greta and Big Swiss? Cause I certainly don’t see it. This got a 3 stars cause I did enjoy being strung along to see what unhinged shit Greta was gonna pull next. Also, just look at that cover, cmon.
Now it’s time for the main event, this might not be my favorite book so far this year but it is definitely top three and the book that most successfully transported me to a new world.I honestly don’t know what to do about this giant hole in my heart that iron flame burned into me.
I love these characters, I know them, I want to protect them. Violet is smart, capable, tenacious, and a fucking badass. Repeatedly surprising me with out of the box moves, she is a goddamn superhero and deserves all our our respect, ney, adoration. Tairn is so grumpy and his relationship with Andarna is adorable (I love her coming into her sassy teenage years). And Xaden is daddy.
I am not prepared to discuss or even fully think about the ending at this time. Good day.

This week has been taken over by Divorced Dad Rock, you know what I’m talking about. The best, by far, is Paralyzer by Eleventh Finger.
